Perfect location, perfect accessibility
Sud, inspired by the Plan Berlage, is being built in an exceptionally attractive part of Amsterdam. The charm of the Oud Zuid, with everything from its lovely shops, convenience stores and pharmacy to its cosy lunchtime hangouts and top-notch restaurants are just around the corner. The liveliness of De Pijp is within walking distance. With even more cafés and restaurants, new concept stores and the old, familiar Albert Cuyp market. What’s more, the new metro station, which will be in use by the time Sud is finished, will bring the centre of Amsterdam within a 5 minute journey.
There’s actually no other part of Amsterdam from where you can so easily get both into and out of the city. From RAI Station, just a few minutes’ walk away, you can reach the centre or other areas of the city by tram, metro and also (soon) at lightning speed (5 minutes!) with the new metro. Or you can head away from Amsterdam by train. If you want to drive, the A10, A4 and A2 motorways are immediately within reach.
Sud is located right next to the Amstelpark, a place where nature, culture, art and recreation all come together. And where Groen Amstelland, which extends via the Ronde Hoep to Uithoorn, begins. A 15-minute stroll along the Zuidwand Wandelweg, which runs along the edge of the city, takes you to the point where you head away from it along the river Amstel towards Ouderkerk aan de Amstel. It’s an area that’s perfect for running, walking and cycling.
